Terms of Service (AGB) for Scriptli

1. What Scriptli Offers
Scriptli provides you with an AI-powered platform for transcribing Swiss dialects into Standard German. Because this service is fully automated using Artificial Intelligence (Gemini API), we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy. Texts are delivered "as is". Scriptli is not liable for errors, omissions, or misinterpretations in the generated text. The final review and responsibility for the accuracy of the text lie solely with you.
2. Your Obligations Upon Upload
You may only upload audio files for which you hold the requisite rights (copyright) or for which you have obtained express consent from all recorded individuals. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of Scriptli does not infringe upon the personal rights or data protection regulations of third parties.
3. Payments and Credits
Scriptli utilizes a "Pay-as-you-go" model.
- Credits: Purchased transcription credits do not expire.
- Free Minutes: Subject to our fair-use policy, we grant you 10 free minutes per month. We reserve the right to discontinue this offer at any time in the event of abuse.
- Processing: All payments are securely processed through our partner Stripe. There is no subscription obligation.
4. Disclaimer of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, any liability of Scriptli for direct or indirect damages (in particular consequential damages or lost profits) resulting from the use of the platform or erroneous transcriptions is excluded.
5. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
Swiss law shall exclusively apply. The place of jurisdiction is the registered office of Scriptli (Schinznach-Bad, AG) or your place of residence in Switzerland.
Privacy Policy
The protection of your privacy is important to us. This declaration complies with the new Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP/nDSG).

2. What Data We Collect
- Server Logs (Cloudflare): When visiting the site, Cloudflare saves technical data (IP address, browser type) to ensure security. We use Cloudflare servers with location options in Switzerland to keep data paths short.
- Local Storage: We use the local storage of your browser for technical functions (e.g. login status). We do not use tracking cookies for advertising purposes.
- Account Data: We store your email address (e.g. firstname.lastname@mail.ch) and your name for account management.
- Audio Files: Your files are only processed temporarily for the transcription process and are not permanently stored on our active servers upon completion.
3. Collaboration with Third-Party Providers
To operate Scriptli, we utilize the following partners, some of whom process data in the US or the EU:
- Google Gemini API: For transcription, audio data is sent to the Google Cloud. We use the Enterprise API interface; your data will not be used to train AI models in accordance with Google's terms.
- Stripe: For payments, your data is transmitted directly to Stripe. We do not store credit card data on our own systems.
- Resend: We use Resend to send transactional emails (e.g. password resets or contact inquiries).
4. Data Transfer Abroad
When using Google, Stripe, or Resend, data may flow to the USA. We rely on recognized compliance guarantees such as the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework to ensure an adequate level of data protection.
5. Your Rights
You have the right at any time to obtain information about, correct, or delete your data. Simply contact us via the address provided in the Legal Notice.
